I have always had a great interest and belief in complementary therapies. Having been brought up homeopathically from an early age, I got used to the concept of encouraging the body to heal itself by gentle and natural means, using the holistic concept of body, mind and spirit.
I discovered reflexology following a wrist injury, which needed surgery. Regular treatments of reflexology speeded the healing process. Over the years I continued having treatments, either just for pure relaxation or to treat specific issues.
Gradually I came to realise the immense benefits that complementary therapy could bring, both physically and emotionally. I felt I wanted to let others share in this knowledge and discover what a wonderful therapy it is.
For the past ten years, meditation has become a part of my daily routine and I now could not imagine life without it. The grounding, greater clarity of thought and quietening at soul level that meditation brings has become a vital tool for life – a powerful antidote to the ever more chaotic lives we all seem to lead.
I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists and the CNHC (The Complementary and National Healthcare Council). I have also attended Suzanne Enzer’s Maternity Reflexology course and learnt Lynne Booth’s Vertical Reflexology (VRT).
